INTRO:

In an attempt to manifest a Braves post season run, YHC decided we would take it to the diamond this morning and show off our skills.  Five PAX, including YHC, beat the fart sack, took the DRP, and entered the gloom to show the baseball gods  what we’ve got.  I had hoped to see a line of cars streaming into the park similar to the scene in Field of Dreams but “if you build it they will come” produced a smaller but talented squad to take the field.  Here’s what went down.

WARM-O-RAMA:

Keeping with the minimal running theme of Stoneclad, we got right to the warm-o-rama.

The Hillbilly x 12

THE THANG:

Each PAX performed the following:

Bear Crawl to First then 10 BBSU

Lunge to Second then 20 Mercans

Bear Crawl to Third then 30 Flutter Kicks – Kodiak Count

Lunge to Home Plate then 40 Arm Presses

Rinse and Repeat

For round 3 we change the exercises:

Bear Crawl to First then 10 Box Cutters

Lunge to Second then 20 Kettle Bell Swings

Bear Crawl to Third then 30 LBCs

Lunge to Home Plate then 40 SSH

Rinse and Repeat

We then took it the game to the outfield and lined up on the right field foul line:

1- Alternating side lunges to the first light pole and Karaoke back to the foul line

2- Backward lunges to first light pole and Karaoke back to to the foul line

3- Squating broad jumps to first light pole and Karaoke back to the foul line

4- Regular lunges to first light pole and Karaoke back to the foul line

Next, YHC attempted to hit towering flyballs with tennis balls and racket and play a burpee game.  However, the days are getting shorter and those few minutes of light before we close up shop are now gone.  Chitwood attempted to catch a few but due to the darkness and “poor form” YHC called an audible:

Each PAX called an exercise and lead in a mini-Q school:

Harp – Dying Cockroaches

Mercan Ring of Fire – Each PAX holds the plank while one performs 5 Mercans – Rinse and Repeat
